PV Solar Wind Business Development Manager

 

Are you looking for a new opportunity come join a large international company that is expanding into the USA it is focused on the development, construction, operation and management of solar photovoltaic (PV) plants throughout the world. They are specialized in the development, funding, construction, operation and maintenance of photovoltaic installations. This group runs more than 60 MW in assets of its own as a power generation company and 100 MW of PV installations from third parties.

FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

•    Finding technical and commercial attractive large utility scale ground projects

      through-out the USA.

•    Must have expertise in lease & contracts negotiation. Coordination with law firms, registry and      real estate brokers.

•    Identifying grid connection options with interconnection consultant and directly with utilities.

•    Selling the business case to the land or property owner.

•    Track record in project origination.

•    Expertise in negotiating project and permit acquisitions.

•    Coordinating and managing permitting with permitting agencies to include federal, state and local levels.

•    Developing projects from green field to final shovel-ready stage. Managing relations with land or property owners, planning agencies and utilities.

•    Coordination with in-house technical team to track records in project origination and ensure the delivery of the project.

•    Early stage development expertise.

•    Liaise with legal, technical and environmental advisers.

 

 

 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

§  Origination of solar project opportunities in North Carolina and other nearby located States.

§  Managing of the ongoing project development activities for a number of 2-5 MW projects located in NC, including:

o   Liaison with the local developing partners.

o   Coordinate with engineering and other service providers involved in the developments.

o   Reporting of project status to the U.S. Country Manager and Senior management in Spain includes.

§  Managing budgets, schedules, onsite contractors, environmental studies, and permitting processes in order to bring projects to notice to proceed with construction.

§  Obtain required permits for projects at the local, state, and federal.

 

Background

§    5 years of experience in green field and/ or mid-stage solar development.

§  Experience in early-stage solar development activities in NC and (if possible) other East Coast/ South-East States incl. site identification and interconnection suitability.

§  Knowledge of NC grid, interconnection process, interconnection provider landscape and off-taker market.

§  Experience in interconnection and NC utility commission filings.

•    Existing relationships with potential property owners, service providers and consultants, outside contractors, environmental studies and permitting processes is a major benefit.

•    Proven sales experience is a must.

•    Understanding of the US off-taker market, federal and State incentives for photovoltaic generation facilities and other legislative support policies.

•    Skilled in coordination of people from different departments.

•    High initiative and attitude to drive processes and team working.

•    Organized and self-motivated.

•    Person with relationship and communication capability, autonomous and proactive.

•    Willingness to travel within the US 25%-30%
