Senior Solar Product Sales Manager

Come join a US-based, development firm that offers residential and commercial customers (“Customers”) low-cost solar energy solutions. We have worked on clean energy projects in both the advisory and investment capacity in over twenty countries.  With a proven record of accomplishment and stable operational history dating back to 2009, we have become a leader within the clean energy sector. We are vertically integrated and our goal is to own and operate solar projects (“Projects”) for our Customers. We are looking for a super star sales person to build our national sales force and add to our East Coast team. We have a highly experienced management team, which is complimented by a supportive staff.

Job Summary

The position will generate revenue by developing market potential through prospecting, lead generation, qualifying opportunities, proposing solutions, forecasting and closing panel sales in both commercial and residential scale projects through midsize to large applications and brings skill/knowledge of the solar industry with him/her. The qualified candidate will manage the sales pipeline, marketing efforts and coordinate with Capital Markets Desk deliverables, key performance metrics and results. Has experience in building a team and is open to team planning.

  • Monitor sales performance
  • Personally handle key customers
  • Prepare sales reports, business proposals, stunning sales presentations, sales forecasts
  • Report directly to C Level Executives
  • Be able to cold call, build customer profiles, find new channels to increase sales, manage sales in our system
  • Engage in pleasant conversation, active listener, helps Customer through purchase cycle and can expedite the sales process when needed
  • Manage the sales pipeline and work closely with Capital Markets Desk deliverables, etc.

Desired Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Minimum 4+ years solar sales experience
  • Knowledge or experience required in the solar industry
  • Demonstrates a high level of business knowledge and professionalism.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • You must possess excellent communication (written and verbal) & presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interface with various levels of personnel to include executive management.
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to set priorities, and responsive to customer requests.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute results against strategy and meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to assist with building an organization and infrastructure
  • Develop sales strategies and plans
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
